BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The Government of Japan has donated an equipment worth ₦3.6 billion to bolster Nigeria's road rehabilitation agenda. At the commissioning of the equipment over the weekend, the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq. described the donation as a strategic milestone in the nation’s pursuit of sustainable infrastructure renewal. He was optimistic that the equipment will transform FERMA’s capacity to maintain and rehabilitate Nigeria’s vast road network. Goronyo emphasised that the donation would usher in a new era of road maintenance by enabling engineers and technicians to deliver faster and more sustainable outcomes.
