APC Unveils Revised Timetable For 2027 General Elections

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections. This is contained in the revised schedule of activities signed by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, His Excellency Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.  The revision includes changes to timelines, screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of forms and the party’s bank accounts approved to receive all payments relating to the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.

APC Releases Timetable For 2027 General Elections

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections. This was contained in the schedule of activities signed by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, His Excellency Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu. The timetable outlined, among other activities, timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms. To this end, the APC reassured members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals. This was contained in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Felix Morka on Monday in Abuja. 

Umahi Inaugurates Committee For APC National Convention

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja In a step toward ensuring a seamless and well-coordinated National Convention for the All Progressives Congress (APC) the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi has formally inaugurated the party’s Committee on accommodation and transportation.  The strategic committee will oversee critical logistics for the forthcoming convention. While Umahi chairs the transportation component, the Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, heads the accommodation arm. Both committees are designed to function as sister structures, working in close coordination to ensure that every logistical detail of the convention will be correctly handled. PEPT Delivers Judgement In Obi, Atiku's Petition Against Tinubu Wednesday ***President's Mandate "II be Affirmed– Ngelale

Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has fixed Wednesday, September 6, to deliver judgement on two separate petitions filed by the Presidential Candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Mr Peter Obi.  The duo are challenging the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of February 25, 2023, presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).  News Rider reports that Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 votes to emerge winner of the most controversial election. Respect Workers Rights', Buhari Tells Incoming Govt

        President Muhammadu Buhari  President Muhammadu Buhari has advised the incoming administration on the need to respect workers rights as enshrined in International Labour Organisation (ILO) declarations on labour matters. Buhari stated this during the 2023 Workers Day celebration on Monday in Abuja with the theme; “Workers Rights and Socio-Economic Justice’’. He noted that Nigeria, being a viable member state of the ILO and a connoisseur of workers’ rights, had ratified all the core conventions of the organisation by guarding and promoting rights at work.
