Obi Cubana Regains Freedom After Three Nights In EFCC Custody

Anambra-born socialite, Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana has regained freedom, three days after he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The club owner, who was arrested on Monday for alleged money laundering and tax fraud was released on Thursday evening.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed that Cubana was released yesterday.

During his stay with the EFCC, he was quizzed several times over his alleged involvement in money laundering and tax fraud.

The business man broke records in July when he hosted a lavish burial for his late mother in Oba, Anambra State, in which over 200 cows were reportedly killed.
