How Nollywood Actress, Ada Ameh Died At 48

Nollywood veteran actress, Ada Ameh dies at age 48. 

She died yesterday night at a hospital in Warri, Delta State. 

BOblog gathered that the lead star in The Johnson's sitcom suddenly collapsed on Sunday night at about 11 p.m and was rushed to a hospital where she gave up the ghost. 

Sources claimed that she was a guest to an oil company worker and his family in the Delta metropolis before she died. 

It was also reported that she died as she was being rushed to the nearby Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) hospital.

Despite the circumstances surrounding her death, the NNPC hospital, Warri is yet to make a public statement. 

President of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas confirmed the news of her death. 

The late actress had spoken about her mental health in June this year. 

She said, “Everything is going to be fine. I have an issue right now, and it’s taking my life. I will not die. We will get over it."

 Ameh had stated that she she rejected a job due to her mental health.

Born on 15 May 1974 in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Ameh hails from Idoma, Benue State.

She attended both primary and secondary schools in Lagos State. 

Due to an early pregnancy at age 13, which resulted to the birth of her daughter, Aladi Godgift, the actress quit school at age 14.

She joined Nollywood in 1995, with Zeb Ejiro’s Domitila, where she played the role of Anita.

The award-winning actress is famous for her major role as Emu in Africa Magic family sitcom, The Johnsons.

Aside Domitila, she had featured in other blockbusters such as “My Village People”, “King Of Shitta”, “A Million Baby”, “Our Husband”, “Ghana Must Go”, “Oloture” and among others. 

In October 2020, Adah lost her only daughter, Aladi Godgift, who was over 30 years old after an unsuccessful surgery in Abuja.

Emerging Diseases: EHCON Faults Health Workers For Neglecting PPEs

Video: Civil Servants Write Promotional Exams In Darkness

Staff of Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Abuja are currently writing their promotional examination in darkness.  In the 11 seconds video, the civil servants were seen writing the examination with torchlight and assistive light from their phones.  Findings revealed that the hall, which has poor lighting and ventilation compelled staff battling with poor eyesight to struggle to read the examination.  Regretably, the question papers were not typed but hand written, photocopied and distributed to the civil servants.  An eyewitness told News Rider that the promotional exams earlier scheduled for November 9, 2023 by 10am, started at the Conference Hall, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Phase 1, Federal Secretariat Abuja.
