Sappers Engineering Nigeria Limited (SENL), a subsidiary of the Nigerian Army Engineers (NAE) has volunteered to partner with the federal government on the implementation of ecological projects across the country.

The Director of Projects, SENL, Brig. General Aderemi Gbedebo stated this in Abuja yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Ecological Project Office (EPO), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

He informed that SENL has the requisite expertise, human resources, equipment and capacity to embark on any intervention projects towards sustainable national development.

Gbedebo explained that the company was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and has handled several government projects, including the construction of roads, buildings, bridges, canals and reservoirs in States across the federation.

He stated that SENL had performed similar projects with Ministries of Power, Works, Transport as well as constituency projects, which he said were thoroughly and professionally executed by its experts.

Responding, the Director, Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, EPO, Dr Famous Eseduwo expressed its readiness to partner with SENL in the execution of some flood and erosion-control projects given the dicey security challenges in the country.

He was optimistic that the collaboration would be an added advantage to EPO, adding that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha would be informed about their request for further action.

These were contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Deputy Director of Information, EPO, Mrs Eno Olotu.
