The Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Magarya, has lost his re-election bid to the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Isma’ila Bilyaminu,

With the loss, Bilyaminu nullified Magarya's attempt to clinch the Zurmi West State Constituency seat during the March 18 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in the state.

Bilyaminu polled 11,231 votes to defeat Speaker Magarya of All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 9,531.

Also, Bala Nasiru of ADC scored 03 votes while Muhammad Sanusi of APGA polled 10 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Mr Mudassir Isma’ila announced the result on Monday in Gusua, the state capital.

He said: “Isma’il Bilyaminu of the PDP having satisfied the requirements of the law is declared elected."

EHCON Unveils Technology To Phase-out Emissions, Protect Public Health

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has unveiled a technology meant to phase-out Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and protect public health from emerging diseases, in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Tagged Oxytane Fuel Additive, it is designed to enhance engine performance, increase fuel efficiency by over 25 percent, and reduce harmful emissions by up to 70 percent. It has been tested on high-capacity generators, including at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation. Oxytane works by cleaning fuel injectors, removing carbon deposits, and improving combustion in petrol, diesel, and kerosene engines. It is used for personal vehicles, generators, and industrial equipment.
