President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday swore in six new permanent secretaries, with a mandate to contribute to the development of the nation's economy.
He performed the exercsie shortly before the commencement of the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in Abuja.
News Rider reports that the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan, had on March 29, 2023, announced President Buhari's endorsement of the permanent secretaries.
Yemi-Esan noted that they were successful in the selection process conducted by her office.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, read the citation of the new permanent secretaries.
He disclosed that the event was the final stage of weeks of pre-qualification exercises for directors that was conducted by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
Those sworn-in are Mahmud Kambari (Borno), Esuabana Nko-Asanye (Cross River), Adamu Lamuwa (Gombe), Yakubu Kofarmata (Kano), Olufemi Oloruntola (Ogun) and Richard Pheelangwah (Taraba).
