US President, Biden Declares For Second Term

US President, Joe Biden has declared his interest to contest for the country's number one job for another term.

He announced his plans to seek reelection via Twitter on Tuesday.

The tweet was accompanied with a three-minute video clip launching his campaign for re-election in 2024.

He said: Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy.

“To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours.

“That’s why I’m running for reelection as president of the United States. Join us. Let’s finish the job.”

Biden, a Democrat, defeated the incumbent Republican President, Donald Trump during the 2020 presidential election.

The Democrat assumed duty since 2021, as the oldest president that had ever occupied the White House.

He will clock 81 years in 2024 during his campaign and electioneering period.
