Uzodinma Emerges Chairman of Progressives Governors Forum

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has emerged as the Chairman of Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) for the next four years.

He succeeded immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.

El-Rufai noted that Uzodinma was elected at a joint meeting of immediate past governors, re-elected governors and newly-elected governors held on Wednesday in Abuja.

The PGF is an organisation which comprises governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) even as it serves as a platform for collaboration, policy development, and sharing of experiences among its members.

El-Rufai said that the new Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani emerged as the Vice Chairman of PGF, while former Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Abdulkadir Mayere, was appointed as the Director-General of PGF.

The tenure of the new leadership commenced immediately.
