Pastor Odukoya Dies At 67 As LASG Mourns

      Late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya 

The Founder, Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya is dead. 

He died on Monday, August 7, in the United States of America at the age of 67. 

His death was confirmed in a post through the official Facebook page of the church.

It reads: “The fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA.

“We are in total submission to you LORD!!!

“We thank the Lord for the gift of a greater leader!!!”

The Lagos State Government has expressed sadness over the death of the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

In a statement on Tuesday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the death of the cleric as a great loss to the entire congregation of the Fountain of Life Church, the body of Christ, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

The statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile enjoined the immediate family, especially the deceased’s children, friends, clerics, the entire congregation of the Fountain of Life, Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to take the death of Pastor Odukoya in good faith. 

”On behalf of my family, the government and people of Lagos State, I sympathise with the Fountain of Life Church on the demise of the founding Pastor of the Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

”The death of Pastor Odukoya, whose ministry has touched many lives within and outside his congregation, came to me as a shock,” Sanwo-Olu added. 

The governor described Odukoya's death as a great loss to the body of Christ, adding that he takes solace in God as the deceased lived a good life and served humanity.

He noted that Odukoya was a great teacher, preacher and servant of the Most High God, who impacted people within and outside Nigeria positively.

Sanwo-Olu commiserated with the Fountain of Life Church family as they mourn the passing of their founder, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

He prayed that his soul will find rest with God, and that the good Lord will comfort his friends, family, and all members of his church.
