FFS Intervenes At Supreme Court Fire Outbreak

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has successfully intervened and put off the fire that affected the Supreme Court Complex, Abuja on Monday.

Spokesperson of the FFS, Mr Abram Paul confirmed that the fire started at about 7.30 a.m on Monday, saying that firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call.

“As I speak to you now, the fire is under control; the atmosphere is calm and everybody is going about his or her official duties," he said.

Paul said though there was no casualty but some files were lost to the inferno.

“Thank God that there was no casualty, but a couple of files were said to have been lost to the inferno. Nothing more than that. Our men are on top of the situation,” he added.

As at the time of filling this report, he noted that the cause of the fire could not be ascertained as investigation is ongoing to unravel the immediate cause.
