Decarbonisation: NCDMB, IOCs, Others To Parley On Investment Opportunities

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), International Oil  ompanies (IOCs) and Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG) have concluded plans to parley on investment opportunities in decarbonisation. 

Aside investment talks, the 12th edition of the annual Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) will also attract policy makers and other stakeholders in the Oil and Gas, and Energy sectors. 

The four- day event, expected to commence on Monday, December 4, 2023, will hold at the 17-storey Nigerian Content Tower (NCT) headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and his Gas counterpart, Hon. Ekperikpo Ekpo will lead other dignitaries to the annual event. 

The ministers are expected to deliver keynote addresses and showcase the Federal Government's stance on Nigerian content and investment strategies. 

PNC is hosted by the NCDMB in partnership with DMG Events and Bayelsa State Government. This year’s event is expected to open with an invitational golf tourney and dinner. 

The dinner is the first of the three gala nights that would be sponsored by Coleman Wires and Cables, Bayelsa state government and the Nigeria LNG Ltd. The event will end on Thursday, December 7, with delegates visit to the facility of MG VOWGAS in Port Harcourt, River State. 

Key topics for discuss include: 'Providing an Enabling Environment for Investment in the Energy Sector, 'Opportunities in Decarbonisation and Domestic Gas Utilization, 'Deepening Nigerian Content in the Manufacturing Sector, 'Financing a Thriving Midstream Sector for Socio- economic Development, and 'Sustainable Framework for Human Capacity Development.”

In addition to the expansive exhibition, the PNC forum will provide opportunities for prospective investors, clients and fund managers to interact  with key Federal Government officials overseeing the oil and gas sector.

The major activity for the stakeholders will be the evaluation of their performances in local content practice, and consideration of appropriate adjustments aimed at better results.

Also, the event will showcase opportunities for  partnership between the public and private sectors, and academia, and also emerging opportunities from divestments by IOCs.

EHCON Seals Deal With SEPHON, EPHPAN, WAHEB To Revamp Environmental, Public Health
