FG Pledges To Bolster Funding For Medical Institutions

The Federal Government has pledged to increase funding and human capital development in Federal-owned medical institutions across the country. 

Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Tunji Alausa stated this during his visit to the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah in Enugu Government house over the weekend.  

He was optimistic that increased funding would yield positive result for Nigerians, adding that President Bola Tinubu-led administration is committed to improving the operational health system in Nigeria. 

Alausa explained that sound health care delivery is one of the key pillars of the present administration. 

He pleaded with the governor to support the Federal Government's yearning in revitalising the health sector as a dividend of democracy.

Responding, Governor Mbah congratulated the minister on his well-deserved appointment, hoping that he would rejig the sector based on his pedigree.  

He assured his willingness and commitment to collaborate with the Federal Government in rebuilding the healthcare delivery system in Enugu  and provide comprehensive care to the residents.

EHCON Unveils Technology To Phase-out Emissions, Protect Public Health

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has unveiled a technology meant to phase-out Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and protect public health from emerging diseases, in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.  Tagged Oxytane Fuel Additive, it is designed to enhance engine performance, increase fuel efficiency by over 25 percent, and reduce harmful emissions by up to 70 percent. It has been tested on high-capacity generators, including at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation. Oxytane works by cleaning fuel injectors, removing carbon deposits, and improving combustion in petrol, diesel, and kerosene engines.
