Anambra Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah Dies In London

        Late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah 

The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Ifeanyi Uba is dead.
He died in London, United Kingdom on Saturday, July 27. 

Ubah, who was the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil, had left for London two days ago.
This shocking news comes two days after the death of President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu on Thursday, July 24.

But unconfirmed reports revealed that the Federal lawmaker died during a surgery in London. 

Uba passed away at the age of 52 years, having escaped an assassination attempt in September 2022 at  Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Three police escorts in the convoy of the Senator were among the persons that died during the assassination incident.

News Rider reports that the Anambra Senator who was elected on the platform of YPP, had last year defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Uba was making plans to contest the upcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election under the platform of APC before his untimely death. 

Already, the Senate has confirmed the death of the Federal lawmaker.

A statement by its Spokesman, Yemi Adaramodu on Saturday, described Uba as an exemplary leader, a committed public servant, and an indefatigable advocate for his constituents.

He said that Ubah’s death is a huge loss to the Senate,  Anambra South Senatorial District and the nation at large.

Briefly 
Born on September 3, 1972, the late lawmaker carved a niche in the public service and was a prominent businessman and philanthropist. 

As the founder and CEO of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, he contributed massively to Nigeria’s energy sector and created numerous job opportunities.

In the media space, Uba founded the Authority Newspaper despite his philanthropic gestures that provided scholarships, healthcare and support to the less privilege through the Ifeanyi Uba Foundation.

EHCON Seals Deal With SEPHON, EPHPAN, WAHEB To Revamp Environmental, Public Health
