2025: Umahi Assures FG Readiness To Resolve Insecurity In Southeast

The Minister of Works, Engr David Umahi has assured that year 2025 will mark a turning point towards Federal Government's commitment in resolving insecurity in the Southeast. 

He stated this on Friday while receiving members of Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum at his country home in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Recounting the unprecedented democracy dividends in the South East under the Renewed Hope Agenda, he called  for more support and solidarity to President Bola Tinubu's administration. 

"We must always be grateful to God, and we must be grateful to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I believe strongly that the people of South East people, are now on the right  track.We have learnt to talk less. We have learnt to know that the centre belongs to all of us. We have learnt to support the government at the centre," he said. 

The minister hailed Governor of Ebonyi State, Hon Francis Nwifuru for deepening peace and tranquility in the state.

While commending the generosity and gratitude of Izzi Nnodo youths, he urged the entire youths in the state to continously pave the way for peace and fairplay, equity and good conscience, which were the virtues that strengthened Divine Mandate's victory in the  2023 general elections. 

He said that 4+4 terms of the governor is sacrosanct, and no agent of disunity can twart it. 

"I will continue to preach equity, fairness, and justice in Ebonyi State. We will continue to encourage our dear Governor to  be equitable. God will continue to be with him," he added. 

The President-General of Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum, Dr Andrew Chibueze Elom said that the essence of the visit was for the youths in three Local Government Areas of Izzi Nnodo to share the joy of the season with the minister and appreciate his achievements at the Federal level. 

He noted that the people of Izzi will continue to celebrate Umahi for his persistent feats in office. 

"The fire of favour, fire of blessings and fire of development that you have ignited here, we say thank you, your excellency. We neither have silver nor gold to give you but our hearts are filled with gratitude. We are very happy and will forever be happy with you," he said.

EHCON Seals Deal With SEPHON, EPHPAN, WAHEB To Revamp Environmental, Public Health

Emerging Diseases: EHCON Faults Health Workers For Neglecting PPEs
