New Works PS, Adebiyi Pledges To Resolve Alleged Disparity In Allocating Projects

The new Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Works, Engr. Olufunsho Olusesan Adebiyi has pledged to resolve alleged disparity in the geographical allocation of road projects amicably. 

He stated this on Tuesday during a brief takeover ceremony from the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Engr Yakubu Adams Kofarmata in Abuja.

Adebiyi lauded the outgoing PS for his excellent track record in office, noting that the staff garnered sufficient knowledge while working with him. 

He hinted that Kofarmata has always been there for the staff to ensure that assignments were carried out as directed by the Federal Government. 

Adebiyi pleaded with the staff for more cooperation and dedication to duty, saying that the ministry and Nigeria are facing enormous challenges that needed maximum support to be tackled.  

"I want to assure you that I will do my best by the grace of God. The challenges are enormous before us and I am sure that we will overcome them.

"I want to appeal to all of us to ensure that we strive toward delivering on the mandate of Mr. President to provide critical road infrastructure in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda," he added. 

The outgoing Permanent Secretary commended the staff and management of the ministry for the harmonious working relationship, appealing that the same should be extended to his successor to enable him succeed in the new assignment.

Adebiyi was redeployed from the State House, while Kofarmata is expected to report to the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) for further posting.

EHCON Seals Deal With SEPHON, EPHPAN, WAHEB To Revamp Environmental, Public Health

Emerging Diseases: EHCON Faults Health Workers For Neglecting PPEs
