Worshippers Rejoice Over Kogi Night Of Mercy, Worship

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja
The atmosphere was electrifying as thousands of worshippers within and outside Kogi State gathered at Afims Hotel Oro, Obehira road for the highly anticipated 'Night Of Mercy And Worship'.

Theme of the event: "Ignite The Fire", was insightful for the worshippers, who trooped to the venue as early as 4p.m, as against the 7p.m scheduled for the programme on Friday, March 28, 2025.

Organised by Dr. Yusuf John Suberu, powerful men of God and gospel singers attended the programme. They were Bishop Steve Balogun(JP); Apostle Jide Ogunsakin; Bishop of Anglican Communion, Diocese of Okene,  Rt.Rev.Dr.E.I Onsachi; Prophet Ajinomoh Anda Isaac and Rev. Isaac Ogunmola.

Others were General overseer of the Gospel Assembly Intercontinental, Pastor Isaiah Alabi; Kogi Central Coordinator of Peace House, Pastor Solomon Enya; Kogi Central Coordinator of CAN, Evangelist Job Apana; Evangelist Eunice Omonayi; Pastor P-Daniel; Pastor Emerald Johnson; Minister Samuel Temitope and Evangelist Ify Obi.

Another great personality who honoured the event was the Provost of Kogi State College of Nursing Science, Obangede,  Dr.James Anaza Duro Joseph.

He represented the Secretary-General of Kogi State, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade.

The speakers emphasised the importance of seeking God's mercy in these turbulent times. The night was marked by numerous deliverance, healings and miracles.

There was never a dull moment as different sessions of prayers, deeper worships and praises were held.

Convener of the programme, Suberu led the special prayer for the peace and progress of the state, as well the government officials.
During the prayer session, God's power manifested, with people receiving deliverance, healings and fresh anointing.

Speaking on the topic: "Principles of igniting the fire", Suberu highlighted four principles required to ignite the fire. They are:
(I). Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
(II). Render faithful service to God
(III). Become a radical giver
(IV). Pray without ceasing.

Kogi night of mercy and worship was a divine encounter, a moment of spiritual connection and transformation.

As the worshippers departed, they learnt a renewed sense of hope and faith, knowing that God's mercy is always available to those who seek it.

The programme also featured distribution of food items to 1000 participants and a scholarship award of N200,000 to Miss Ann Ochenika.

Suberu assured that he would award more scholarship through the Kogi Central CAN and PFM.

He charged the youths to be of good behaviour so as to benefit from such reward.

The programme, which was attended by over 1500 person's (excluding the underaged), was described by many as one of its kind in Ebira-land.

This was contained in a statement by the Media Team, Kogi Night of Mercy and Worship on Thursday in Abuja.
