President Congratulates Enugu Gov, Peter Mbah On Birthday

President Bola Tinubu has felicitated the Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah as he marks his birthday today, March 17, 2026.

Tinubu celebrates the lawyer and philanthropist, highlighting the tremendous progress recorded in Enugu State under his leadership over the past two years.

The President particularly lauds Dr Mbah's bold commitment to the ideals of progressive governance and constitutional democracy, as exemplified in his administration's transformational projects and programmes.

Mbah, a private-sector player, had achieved success in the oil and gas sector before he was elected governor of Enugu State in 2023. 

President Tinubu says: "During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people.

"Dr Mbah's inclusive governance and partnership with other Southeast governors is repositioning the region for economic and political transformation."

President Tinubu wishes the Enugu governor good health and renewed strength as he continues his good work in the state.

This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Tuesday in Abuja.

EHCON Unveils Technology To Phase-out Emissions, Protect Public Health

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has unveiled a technology meant to phase-out Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and protect public health from emerging diseases, in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.  Tagged Oxytane Fuel Additive, it is designed to enhance engine performance, increase fuel efficiency by over 25 percent, and reduce harmful emissions by up to 70 percent. It has been tested on high-capacity generators, including at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation. Oxytane works by cleaning fuel injectors, removing carbon deposits, and improving combustion in petrol, diesel, and kerosene engines.
