NAWOJ FCT To Partner VNDC On Market Place Advocacy

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) FCT Chapter, has expressed readiness to collaborate with Vaccine Network for Disease Control (VNDC) on Market Place Advocacy, aimed at creating awareness on social,  economic and democratic rights of women and girls, while integrating critical health awareness into their everyday lives.

Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang stated this during a courtesy visit to the Executive Director of VNDC, Dr. Chika Offor in Abuja.

Comrade Ikpang reiterated NAWOJ FCT's commitment to promoting gender equity, amplifying women's voices, and using media as a tool for advocacy and social change. 

"We aim to champion issues affecting women and children, especially in health, education, and economic empowerment," she said.

The chairperson commended Dr. Offor's contributions to the health sector, particularly in advancing vaccine awareness and strengthening public health systems.

She added: "Your leadership has made a significant difference in protecting vulnerable communities."

The visit highlighted the shared vision and importance of strategic partnership in deepening public awareness, combating misinformation, and driving meaningful impact across FCT communities.

Already, NAWOJ FCT has invited  Offor as a guest speaker at the upcoming Marketplace event on April 30, 2026, to educate women on misinformation and  misconceptions surrounding  vaccine uptake and other health-related issues.

Offor pledged VNDC's continuous support to NAWOJ, stressing the need for women to be educated and innovative in health matters, benefiting their families and society. 

"I like the market place initiative; thinking outside the box is what women should embrace," she said.

The partnership aims to advance the wellbeing of women and communities, promoting a healthier society through collaborative efforts.

CCB, NILDS Endorse CIFCFIN Agenda To Eliminate Fraud

EHCON Seals Deal With EPHAN On Sustainable Environmental Solutions
