President Salutes Alhaji Ashafa Erogbogbo On Centenary Birthday

President Bola Tinubu has sent warm greetings to an elder statesman and retired aviation supervisor at Shell Company Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Ashafa Ajibola Erogbogbo as he marked his centenary birthday on May 28.

A statement e-signed by Tinubu in Abuja, indicated that reaching 100 years is a remarkable milestone, a rare blessing, and a reward for a life of discipline, dedication, integrity, and selfless service to humanity and the nation.

He joined Erogbogbo's family in giving glory to God for his century-long journey and his contributions to national development, particularly through his service years at Government Printing Press, Nigeria Customs and Excise and later Shell Company Nigeria Limited. 

"In all the places where you worked, you demonstrated professionalism, diligence, and a commitment to excellence.

"Your role as a respected community leader in Ikorodu, Lagos State and mentor is widely acknowledged. Your wisdom, counsel, and exemplary lifestyle continue to inspire younger generations.

 "It is noteworthy that you, the father of Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), remain sharp of mind and warm of spirit at this advanced age.

"I rejoice with you, your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as you celebrate this extraordinary milestone. I also look forward to reading your life story, “Echoes of Grace: The Journey of a Century,” published to mark your birthday.

 "As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to sustain you with good health, peace, strength, and happiness," Tinubu added.

EHCON Unveils Technology To Phase-out Emissions, Protect Public Health

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has unveiled a technology meant to phase-out Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and protect public health from emerging diseases, in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.  Tagged Oxytane Fuel Additive, it is designed to enhance engine performance, increase fuel efficiency by over 25 percent, and reduce harmful emissions by up to 70 percent. It has been tested on high-capacity generators, including at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation. Oxytane works by cleaning fuel injectors, removing carbon deposits, and improving combustion in petrol, diesel, and kerosene engines.
