Afreximbank, CreditRegistry To Unlock New Opportunities For 30, 000 Africans

The African Export-Import Bank, Afreximbank, has endorsed an agreement with CreditRegistry Corporation to unlock new opportunities for about 20,000 to 30,000 Africans through digital financial literacy, credit education and trade skills.

This is in addition to co-created digital courses, masterclasses, executive workshops, webinars and certification programmes delivered through AFRACAD’s extensive learning infrastructure.

With the partnership, learners and businesses are expected to receive practical tools to access finance, build creditworthiness and compete more confidently in regional and global markets.

The Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, signed on Monday in Egypt, merges AFRACAD’s role in trade, development finance and institutional capacity-building with CreditRegistry’s expertise in financial literacy, consumer credit education and digital learning.

Both organisations will develop an integrated learning ecosystem for young people, entrepreneurs, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, women-owned businesses and professionals by equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills to secure finance, strengthen their credit profiles and seize opportunities in domestic and international trade.

The partnership will also accelerate awareness and adoption of Afreximbank’s flagship digital platforms, including the MANSA Customer Due Diligence Repository and the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System, PAPSS.

Group Managing Director of Human Resources, Afreximbank, Mr. Stephen Kauma said that connecting financial literacy with practical trade education, could turn ambition into enterprise, expand opportunity and drive more inclusive and sustainable prosperity.

“Africa’s future will be built not only with capital, but with knowledge, skills and empowered people. Through this partnership, we are opening new pathways for the next generation of African entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals to compete and thrive in an increasingly integrated African market and global economy,” he added.

CreditRegistry Corporation is a financial technology company delivering credit information and digital solutions that advance financial inclusion, responsible lending and financial literacy across Africa.

Through the partnership, its Africa Consumer Credit Academy, ACCA, curriculum will be integrated into the AFRACAD Learning Platform, creating a seamless pathway from foundational financial literacy, entrepreneurship and credit management to advanced learning in trade finance, compliance, due diligence and international trade.

The Co-Founder and Director of CreditRegistry Corporation, Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun described the partnership as a major step forward for financial capability across Africa.

The three-year MoU provides a clear framework for the two institutions to jointly develop and deliver learning initiatives that advance financial inclusion, strengthen trade capabilities and support Africa’s long-term economic transformation.

EHCON Unveils Technology To Phase-out Emissions, Protect Public Health

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has unveiled a technology meant to phase-out Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and protect public health from emerging diseases, in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.  Tagged Oxytane Fuel Additive, it is designed to enhance engine performance, increase fuel efficiency by over 25 percent, and reduce harmful emissions by up to 70 percent. It has been tested on high-capacity generators, including at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation. Oxytane works by cleaning fuel injectors, removing carbon deposits, and improving combustion in petrol, diesel, and kerosene engines.
