ACCI Requests Detailed Probe Into Tragic Ondo Plane Crash

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has requested detailed probe into the tragic plane crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State.

This was even as the Chamber commended the relevant authorities and emergency responders for their efforts following the incident.

President of ACCI, Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN said on Wednesday in Abuja, that a  thorough investigation would unravel the  circumstances surrounding the crash and establish the immediate cause, while  preventing further recurrence.

In a condolence message, Obegolu expressed deep sorrow over the terrific incident, which claimed the lives of military personnel, family members, and crew members.

He commiserated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Nigerian Armed Forces, bereaved families and all Nigerians over the tragic incident.

He described the crash as a painful loss to the nation, adding that the deaths of the military personnel and their family members had further deepened the grief associated with the unfortunate incident.

The ACCI President extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, particularly the loved ones of the military personnel who lost their lives in the crash, praying that God would grant them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He enjoined Nigerians to keep the bereaved families, the Armed Forces and  entire nation in their prayers at this difficult time, noting that the loss of lives is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by members of the nation's security forces and their families in service to Nigeria.

EHCON Unveils Technology To Phase-out Emissions, Protect Public Health

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has unveiled a technology meant to phase-out Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and protect public health from emerging diseases, in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.  Tagged Oxytane Fuel Additive, it is designed to enhance engine performance, increase fuel efficiency by over 25 percent, and reduce harmful emissions by up to 70 percent. It has been tested on high-capacity generators, including at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation. Oxytane works by cleaning fuel injectors, removing carbon deposits, and improving combustion in petrol, diesel, and kerosene engines.
