'Renewed Hope Projects Fairly Spread Across Six Geopolitical Zones'

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja       Engr David Umahi  The Federal Government has disclosed that the Renewed Hope projects executed by the Ministry of Works are fairly spread across the six geopolitical zones. This followed a report by one Muhammad Jamil, also known as Jadda Garko, who alleged that the Northern region was sidelined in the ongoing Renewed Hope  Agenda road projects. Reps Endorse Surrogacy Regulatory Commission

The House of Representatives has endorsed the establishment of Nigeria Surrogacy Regulatory Commission for the monitoring and supervision of surrogacy arrangements in Nigeria. This followed the approval of a bill seeking to establish the commission on Thursday in Abuja, sponsored by member representing Ogbomoso North, South and Orire Federal Constituency, Ayodeji Alao-Akala.  When passed into law, the bill is expected to capture the  registration, regulation, and monitoring of surrogacy agencies in Nigeria and related matters.  Leading the debate on the general principles of the proposed legislation, Alao-Akala disclosed that the bill seeks to regulate and evaluate surrogacy in Nigeria to ensure that medical and health laws are not violated. He informed that it will also protect those seeking to overcome infertility. Umahi Pledges Speedy Implementation Of Civil Service Roadmap

BY CHIKA OKEKE, Abuja Staff of the Federal Ministry of Works at a one-day Management Retreat on  FCSSIP25 in Abuja on Wednesday.  The Minister of Works, Engr Dave Umahi has pledged speedy implementation of the Federal Civil Service roadmap in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu-led administration.  This was even as he noted that since the ministry is a prominent player in the delivery of Federal Government's policies, plans, programmes and projects, that it would lead the institutionalisation of the roadmap.  He made the pledge on Wednesday in Abuja, at a one-day Management Retreat on FCSSIP25 organised by the ministry with the theme: “Specific Roles of Heads of Department in the Implementation of FCSSIP25."
